「Drama」

When writing entries, I often see Japanese people use the word "drama" to mean "live action television program." However, I don't think that's a very natural usage. Usually, native English speakers would call those "TV shows" or just simply "shows." Movies and TV shows that are called "dramas" are usually very serious in tone and are about relationships between people. You could also call a play or a recording of a play a "drama." In short, "drama" refers to a specific kind of show. For the most part, I think it's best to translate "ドラマ" as "TV show" or "show."
