え？音は何か？
今朝、私は娘を預かったとき、外から変な音が聞こえました。
「シュー」 静か 「シュー」
熱気球の火らしい音なんかと思いました。裏庭へ早く走り、見上げました。やはり、低空飛行する熱気球がうちの上に通しました。うちの中に戻り、娘を抱き、庭に運んできました。私たちは遠ざかる熱気球をじっと見ました。小さい空港がここに近いので、遠い熱気球は時々寒い朝に見えますが、この熱気球はとても近かったです。

This morning, I was watching my daughter when I heard a strange noise coming from outside.
Woosh! *pause* Woosh!
That sounds like a hot air balloon's flame, I thought. I ran out to the backyard and looked up. Sure enough, a hot air balloon was drifting right over the house. I ran back inside, grabbed my daughter, and we went back to the yard. We watched the hot air balloon as it drifted away. There's a small airport near here, so sometimes we see them far away on cold mornings, but this one was extremely close.
